MERCY CHEFS

This group project required partners Olivia Tadlock, Ben Himaya, and me to design a conceptual full rebrand for the nonprofit, Mercy Chefs. In the course of a few weeks, we were challenged with developing a new brand strategy and identity for this faith-based disaster relief program. The goal of the full rebrand was to enhance the brand as a whole by offering an entirely new logo direction, typefaces, color palette, brand elements, social media approach, and collateral. Mercy Chef’s mission of “just go feed people” is valuable, so we strengthened it by taking a more modernized approach to the full rebrand to meet a wider variety of audiences and improve brand awareness. To give the logo a deeper meaning, we pulled from the Biblical account of Jesus feeding the 5,000 with loaves and fish; this creates a more conceptual design and ultimately points people to the heart behind their mission.
